Salvia columbariae, common name Golden chia, produces unique blooms compared to most salvia flowers. These unique salvias thrive in well-draining nutrient-rich soil, and can also thrive in sandy / rocky soil. Salvia columbariae ability to grow in harsher climates makes it perfect for California or Southwest gardens.
